Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of company assets and data
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into our development, operations and product life cycle
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging threats and recommend proactive measures to enhance our security posture
- Assist in maintaining security compliance standards
- Work closely with CISO to continue to develop and maintain the company’s security posture
- Articulate the Zenoss security program to potential and existing customers
- Develop metrics for program success for presentation to executive management
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security or related field
- 2+ years of experience in information security, preferably in a technology or software development environment
- Strong understanding of security principles, standards and best practices
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint protection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+ are a plus but not required
