Job description

Samsung TV Plus is an industry-leading FAST (free ad-supported TV) and VOD (video-on-demand) service reaching 24 countries and millions of devices globally across TV and mobile. One of the first FAST platforms, Samsung TV Plus now offers more than 250 channels in the U.S. and nearly 2,000 channels globally, along with thousands of shows and movies on-demand. FAST is the fastest-growing video segment among consumers and FAST ad spend is expected to surpass that of Broadcast/Cable (combined) and SVOD within the next three years. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the exploding and ever-evolving FAST space and play a key role in driving the growth of the TV Plus business.

Samsung TV Plus PMO team is seeking a Senior Program Manager, who will report into the Head of PMO and be responsible to lead and execute on strategic initiatives across Content Development, Technical, Marketing, and Operations teams in a way that enables the business to launch and scale new content and product offerings. This is an individual contributor role, with growth path to developing into a manager position in the long term.

  • Communicate across teams and to leadership to ensure alignment of goals and tasks to ensure the overall success of the program.
  • Monitor key quality metrics, define and implement initiatives to drive process improvements.
  • Develop the playbook for all TV Plus go-to-market initiatives.
  • Innovate and improve existing processes to streamline and eliminate waste while enabling growth and scale.
  • Develop and implement best practices for deployment of new product features and content offerings.
  • Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations.
  • Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Partner with other managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery.
  • Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate.
  • Influence design and development of strategic processes.
  • Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using data to drive/influence business decisions.
  • Manage post-launch support plans and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with jira, confluence and other program management tools.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and adjust priorities accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of driving and scaling process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree, or MBA
  • Experience at a streaming service, technology company or in general entertainment strongly preferred.

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA, is expected to be between $150,000 and $175,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
