Job Summary/Description:

Northern News Now is looking for a News Video Editor to join our team. The right candidate will not only need to have an interest in local news but also be able to work well with a team and have knowledge of non-linear video editing. Must be capable of editing news stories in various forms for newscasts and various digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- The position requires knowledge of non-linear video editing.
- Must be capable of editing news stories in various forms for newscasts and various digital platforms.
- Receive and follow instructions on editing ENG material from talent or producers.
- May have to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, mornings, and holidays.
- Edit video as assigned for newscasts and various digital platforms.
- Upload/download video to partner outlets/platforms.
- Communicate with team in the newsroom.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Proficient with non-linear editing software such as Premiere (Edius Grass Valley preferred)
- Experience in TV news editing preferred.
- Must work well under strict deadlines.
- Flexible work hours required.
- College degree preferred but not required.
