Job Summary:
Google is a leading technology company that focuses on user-first products. The Product Manager II for the YouTube Growth Platform will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, ensuring that technical and business aspects are aligned to drive product growth and engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the growth platform ML roadmap for content promotional goals including both watchtime and free feature usage.
• Partner with engineering and data science to develop a ranking function for content promotional goals, using signals like predicted watchtime and conversion rate.
• Partner with over-the-top (OTT) tech and Marketing teams to drive incremental watchtime during livestream and cultural moments.
• Draft principles and guardrails on the types of content promotions we will support.
• Advocate growth platform impact for content promotional goals across YouTube Tech teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in product management, including taking technical consumer products from conception to launch.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
• Experience building Machine Learning (ML) ranking algorithms to drive engagement.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, and Marketing to deliver platform features.
Preferred:
• Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
• Experience with digital advertising products or growth marketing technology.
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) experimentation methodologies.
• Experience delivering technical presentations to executive leadership and securing buy-in for ML-driven product ideas.
• Experience with ads relevance improvement for consumer products.
• Passion for the YouTube ecosystem and an understanding of platform growth levers for both creators and viewers.
