The Role:

You own organic growth. Search and AI visibility are one outcome, and it's yours: rankings, AI mentions, traffic, and the leads that come from them. You set the strategy, defend it with reasoning, and then go execute it — this is a hands-on role, not a role that hands work off.

Beyond organic, you're the content partner to the wider GTM team. When sales needs a case study, when a campaign needs copy, when a launch needs a story, you're the one who shapes it.

You'll work alongside the Vice President of Marketing as a thought partner. Expect to disagree, expect to be listened to, and expect to be the one who decides what happens on the content side.

What You'll Own:

• Organic growth — search and AI visibility as one owned outcome: rankings, AI mentions, traffic, and leads.
• SEO / AEO — keyword and topic research, search intent, on-page optimization, ranking performance, and getting MOD cited in Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and other answer engines.
• Content strategy — what we publish, for whom, and why. You set the plan, own the roadmap, and defend it with reasoning.
• Content calendar — own the publishing schedule across blog, social, and YouTube, hitting the growth and engagement goals set for each channel.
• Long-form writing — problem-led, outcome-driven blog posts, guides, reports, and e-books that rank, build credibility, and get read to the end.
• Email marketing — newsletters, sequences, and campaign copy.
• Website, landing pages, and sales enablement — messaging that converts, plus the case studies, one-pagers, and stories the sales team leans on.
• Measurement and iteration — track what works, double down, kill what doesn't, and report on traffic, engagement, and pipeline contribution.

What We're Looking For:

• Organic growth — search and AI visibility as one owned outcome: rankings, AI mentions, traffic, and leads. This is the core of the role.

• Content calendar — own the publishing schedule across blog, social, and YouTube, hitting the growth and engagement goals set for each channel.

• GTM content — the newsletters, sequences, campaign copy, landing page messaging, case studies, one-pagers, and stories the sales team leans on. You decide how it gets built and by whom.
• Measurement and iteration — track what works, double down, kill what doesn't, and report on traffic, engagement, and pipeline contribution.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of B2B content marketing experience, including time owning a channel or program end to end rather than executing someone else's brief.
• A track record in organic growth — you've grown search traffic and can walk us through the specific work that did it and the results it produced.
• Deep SEO expertise — keyword research, search intent, on-page optimization, and technical fundamentals — enough to diagnose a problem yourself instead of waiting on an agency.
• AEO fluency, or the demonstrated curiosity to become the person we rely on for it. You understand how AI answer engines pick sources, or you're hungry to find out.
• Problem-led writing — samples that sell an outcome, not a feature list.
• Comfort with the tools — GA4, Search Console, and an SEO platform like Ahrefs or Semrush. You find answers yourself.
• Strategic instinct — you can look at a business, say what content it needs, and defend the choice under pushback.
• Hands-on AI experience and genuine enthusiasm to learn more — you see it as leverage.
• Self-direction — you prioritize, plan, and ship at a high standard without being micro-managed.
• A degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
