Job description

We're looking for a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to join our in-house team. This role is heavily focused on transforming YouTube Live content into engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You'll play a key role in creating fast-paced, visually compelling content that keeps audiences engaged and reflects our Brand
This is a purely editing-focused position with no filming responsibilities required. Alongside video editing, we're looking for someone who can also assist with graphic design work for social media, including thumbnails, post graphics, text-based visuals, and branded assets to support our content across multiple platforms.
You'll also help brainstorm creative concepts, stay ahead of social media trends, and contribute to the overall growth of our media presence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Edit short-form video content from YouTube Lives into highly engaging clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Occasionally edit long-form YouTube content with strong pacing and storytelling.
  • Create engaging thumbnails, graphics, social media visuals, and branded assets to support content distribution.
  • Utilize motion graphics, animation, captions, and text overlays to enhance storytelling and create polished, professional videos.
  • Develop and execute creative content ideas that don't require on-camera talent while keeping engagement and social media trends in mind.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, editing styles, hooks, and retention strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Maintain an organized workflow, including managing project files, assets, and editing timelines.
  • Collaborate with the wider media team to continuously improve content performance and brand consistency.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar).
  • Experience creating short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, hooks, captions, and audience retention.
  • Experience with motion graphics, text animation, and visual effects (After Effects or equivalent).
  • Graphic design experience for social media content, thumbnails, and digital assets (Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator, or similar).
  • Strong creative instincts and ability to independently execute content ideas.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Video Editing: 1 years (Required)

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have but Not Required)
  • Experience editing YouTube long-form content.
  • Familiarity with local scenes, developments, attractions, and culture.
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up workflows, generate ideas, and assist in content creation (we're not looking for AI-generated videos, just smart workflow enhancement).
  • Ability to think outside the box to find resources needed to complete a project.
