Job description

This position oversees the administration of all human resources, including policies and programs, within the manufacturing plant. This role includes hourly recruitment and onboarding, organizational health and safety, training and career development, employee and labor relations, and compensation and benefits planning.
The Human Resources Manager ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA, and assists line managers in applying HR programs to departmental operations. Additionally, the HR Manager answers employee and candidate questions about HR policies and offerings.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administration of HR policies and programs, including recruitment, onboarding, health and safety, training, career development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA.
  • Assist line managers in applying HR programs to departmental operations.
  • Address employee and candidate inquiries regarding HR policies and offerings.
  • Lead and direct the work of other HR employees, with full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Administer established policies and procedures, with potential impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural changes.
  • Coach and train personnel including production leaders to enhance their leadership skills and effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR concepts and principles.
  • Proven ability to perform complex tasks following established processes.
  • Experience in coaching and training production leaders.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred, not required
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analysis.
