Work Schedule: Part-Time, Variable Schedule; 3 days per week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
JOB SUMMARY
The Art Center Intern assists various activities at the Art Center, including, but not limited to: assistance with summer children's camps or after school children's programs, assistance in the Hot Shop, technique demonstration, cleaning and maintenance, oversight of craft activities with children; assisting with planning and implementing art activities; sorting supplies and checking inventory; monitoring children for safety; cleaning the workspace as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Assists with setting up Gallery Receptions, and Special Events.
  2. Greets guests and talks to them about artwork.
  3. Assists with maintaining inventory of event department supplies, including equipment and materials to ensure efficiency in the department.
  4. Assists with breaking down events as needed.
  5. Maintains and updates Events Calendar.
  6. Communicates well with Artists.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  3. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  4. Ability to work in a team environment.
  5. Knowledge of current art trends, techniques.
