POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing & Youth Engagement Intern will support the Marketing & Communications team in creating engaging content that highlights the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica programs. This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, social media, photography, videography, and nonprofit communications while helping tell the story of the Club through authentic youth-centered content.


WORK SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

July 20th to September 20th, 2026. 

Approximately 5 Hours Per Week

$20.00 per Hour

Reporting to: Lindsey Lincoln. 

Site Location: Administration Office 


MARKETING & YOUTH ENGAGEMENT INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Capture photos and videos of Club activities, events, and programs.

Create content for social media, email communications, and print collateral.

Participate in brainstorming sessions, content planning meetings, and team meetings.

Assist with event coverage and storytelling projects that showcase program impact.

Internal: Maintain regular contact with Marketing & Communications staff, Club leadership, program staff, volunteers, and Club members.

External: May interact with community members, families, donors, and partners while supporting content creation and event coverage activities.

Requirements

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Interest in marketing, communications, photography, videography, social media, or youth development.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable working with children and teens.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Recent high school graduate or current college student.

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent standing and walking during Club activities and events.
