• Serve as a clinician to assigned clients facing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, both in-office and via community outreach.
• Conduct evidence-based screenings and assessments to determine the specific needs of clients, adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Create and implement integrated care plans that encompass emotional support and link clients to necessary services while maintaining effective communication with family members and healthcare providers.
• Provide focused prevention, treatment, and recovery services tailored to meet clients’ immediate and long-term mental health needs.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing presenting issues and enhancing client well-being.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences to promote seamless collaboration and enhance service delivery.
• Carry a manageable caseload, ensuring timely follow-ups, crisis interventions, and regular assessments aligned with client goals.
• Document case details rigorously, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and readiness for reviews or audits.
• Serve on committees tasked with improving agency service quality and implementing best practices in care delivery.

As an LCSW at Young Minds Counseling P.C, you will primarily work with a diverse population of clients in hospice care who are navigating significant mental health challenges. This role requires sensitivity and understanding, as your clients may be experiencing profound emotional distress related to end-of-life issues, grief, and transitions in care. Your expertise in cultural competency will enhance relationships with clients from various backgrounds, ensuring they feel understood and supported.

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and possess a valid LCSW license for the state of Kansas. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health or social services is required, demonstrating a track record of effective client engagement and treatment planning.

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates who have specific experience in hospice care, palliative care settings, or working with underserved populations will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and evidence-based therapeutic approaches is also beneficial.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 85,000, commensurate with experience.
