Lifeguard – Part Time Year-Round

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Part Time Lifeguard. In this role, you will be responsible for the safety of guests/associates in all pools, hot tubs, slides, attractions, and interactive features in all the waterpark areas; applying life-saving skills and first aid to any guest who is in need.

As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll ensure a safe and enjoyable environment through vigilant monitoring, quick response to emergencies, and friendly interactions. You'll work collaboratively with the team and uphold safety standards that protect both guests and staff.

Pay rate: $13/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and safe and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Maintain the high standards set forth by the National Aquatics Safety Company and the Kalahari safety procedures through leading by example and supporting all staff members.
  • Work with the waterpark maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is kept safe, clean and kept in excellent working condition through monitoring of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and by following the equipment's' preventative maintenance programs.
  • Apply lifesaving skills and first aid to any guest/associate who is in need.
  • Assist with daily startup and closure procedures of water park attractions, indoor and outdoor, including trash removal, towel collection, equipment, tubes, and lost and found, and park cleanliness

What We're Looking For

  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group situations to customers, clients and other associates is a must.
  • Must be able to communicate, read, write and speak English effectively. Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a large resort or recreational/waterpark is helpful.
