Job description

As an HVAC Install Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced installers to complete residential heating and cooling system installs. You’ll play a key role on each job — not just helping, but actively contributing and building your skillset.
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking candidates with at least one (1) year of hands-on HVAC installation experience who are ready to continue developing their skills and grow into a Lead Installer role.

This role is ideal for someone who already has some HVAC experience but isn’t quite at a Lead level yet and wants the opportunity to grow into it.

About Us:

Legendary Home Services is behind some of Minnesota’s most trusted brands: Blue Ox Heating & Air, Paul Bunyan Plumbing & Drains, and EarlyBird Electric.

We’re built around one thing: Legendary Service, Legendary Care — for both our customers and our team. We provide consistent work, strong leadership, and real opportunities to grow your career in the trades.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist with residential HVAC system installations including furnaces, AC systems, and coils
  • Support ductwork, refrigerant lines, and system connections
  • Help with system start-up, testing, and job completion
  • Take on more responsibility as your skills grow
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site
  • Communicate with team members and homeowners respectfully
  • Learn installation best practices, code requirements, and efficiency standards

What You Bring to the Team:

    • Minimum one (1) year of residential HVAC installation experience
    • Experience assisting with furnace, air conditioner, coil, or heat pump installations
    • Basic understanding of HVAC systems and install processes
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and improve
    • Ability to take direction and apply feedback
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and varying conditions

Applicants without HVAC installation experience will not be considered.

    What Sets You Apart

    • You want to grow into a Lead Installer role
    • You take pride in your work and want to improve
    • You’re reliable and show up ready to contribute
    • You’re coachable and open to feedback
    • You can independently perform portions of an HVAC installation with limited supervision

      Pay & Schedule

      • $25–$35/hour depending on HVAC installation experience and skill level

      What You’ll Love About Legendary:

      • Legendary Service, Legendary Care — we take care of our team the same way we take care of customers
      • Clear path to Lead Installer — grow your skills and advance your career
      • Hands-on experience every day — you’ll be doing the work, not just watching
      • Consistent, year-round work in a growing Rochester market
      • Strong team culture — we win together and support each other
      • Full benefits package — medical, dental, vision, and 401k with match
      • Paid time off and holidays
