Join Our Team as a Yard Worker!

Viking, a Texas tradition in fencing since 1972, is looking for a full-time, non-exempt Yard Worker to join our Sanitation division. If you are a forklift pro with a positive attitude and a knack for detail, we want to hear from you!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift and banding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean & sanitize rental equipment
  • Use various motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jacks and dollies.
  • Repair and stack panels.
  • Make sandbags for temporary fence rental orders.
  • Accurately load trucks based on outgoing orders.
  • Receive inbound material and organize in the yard.
  • Maintain excellent yard presentation.
  • Secure freight on trucks using appropriate tools and supplies.
  • Work safely and efficiently, following company safety policies.
  • Complete special projects as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Exposure to all types of weather.
  • Regularly lift freight and objects (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Safely navigate loading docks that may be slippery.
  • Extended periods of walking and standing.
  • Reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary.
