We offer a broad range of auto transportation and logistics services, primarily focused on transporting finished vehicles from automotive production facilities, marine ports of entry, or regional rail yards to auto dealerships around the country. Job Summary
Operations Inspection Team Member is responsible for managing the day-to-day yard activities related to inventory and auto haulers entering and exiting the property for the movement of vehicles. This individual assists in the daily management of the terminal, consistent with the goals and initiatives of the Company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities could include:
  • Inspect cargo units and mark damage in PAL's Magnus Transportation Management System. Advise auto haulers on proper damage procedures and required notifications.
  • Observe auto haulers for proper safety practices and loading procedures.
  • Ensure loads comply with space requirements and are secured properly per customer guidelines and requirements
  • Document and immediately notify responsible parties of maintenance or safety issues that could cause serious injury or damage.
  • Notify Safety of reasonable suspicion to ensure any potentially unsafe drivers are immediately relieved from work, pending complete investigation.
  • Enforce yard rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of a Dealer Pick-up
  • Perform daily and weekly yard audits to verify inventory.
  • Shuttle drivers to location of vehicle(s) or another yard.
  • Maintain company vehicle through routine servicing and cleaning regularly.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma and two or more years of related experience.
  • Valid Driver's License with clean record; CDL License is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, with periods of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs.
