Job Purpose
The ProTechnician Associate role is a one-of-a-kind and dynamic position that acts as a catalyst role to becoming an experienced technician. It stands out in its duty to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the location's equipment yard, while also conducting basic maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure operational readiness. Working side by side with certified technicians, you will receive training and development to accurately troubleshoot and diagnose diesel equipment problems, perform repairs, recondition and service heavy equipment and components.
The ProTechnician Associate role is a stepping stone to more advanced positions within the company. It offers the opportunity to grow technical skills while supporting the yard, mechanic, and technician operations, paving the way for a rewarding career in the construction equipment industry.
What you will do...
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and basic maintenance on heavy and construction equipment to ensure they are rental-ready.
  • Assist in loading and unloading equipment for customers and internal transport.
  • Clean, maintain, and organize equipment and machinery in the yard.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot minor issues with equipment and perform necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with the Mechanic team for more complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Support the Yard Technician team and assist with yard operations as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanic team to learn advanced repair skills and techniques.

Requirements
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors when required of the job
  • Some knowledge in electrical and hydraulic systems and willing to learn how to read schematics

Skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn more complex mechanical skills.
  • Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
