About the Unit

Yara North America is a leading supplier of nitrogen-based fertilizers, providing sustainable solutions for both agricultural and industrial applications. The business unit manages approximately 4 million tons of product annually from a combination of internal and external global sources. The Logistics and Planning Department plays a critical role within the Supply Chain organization. It is responsible for demand and supply planning, inventory replenishment, and the distribution of products across North America, supporting multiple business segments and ensuring alignment with regional business needs.

The Demand Planning Analyst plays a critical role within the Logistics and Planning function, supporting Yara North America's Supply Chain organization. This role is responsible for assessing the accuracy of the demand forecasts, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in demand planning processes to support business objectives across all product lines and business segments.

The Demand Planning Analyst will report to the Logistics & Planning Manager. The position will be based out of our Tampa, Florida office and offer a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with regional commercial teams to understand actual trends versus forecasted trends to develop solutions and/or guide Planning, Operations, and Transportation.
  • Analyze historical forecasts and sales utilizing statistical methods to identify trends.
  • Be the go-to person to commercial team on issues or questions.
  • Track, analyze, and report monthly demand forecasts versus actual sales performance, identifying variances and lagging sales trends; provide actionable insights to improve forecast accuracy and business responsiveness.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve forecast accuracy, responsiveness, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, presentations to communicate forecast assumptions, demand trends, and business performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Logistics, and Commercial teams to align demand plans with supply plans, operational capabilities, and business objectives.
  • Available for 24/7 contact for critical planning challenges.
Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, demand planning and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with AI tools such as Co-Pilot and/or Chat GPT.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong business orientation and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and summarize data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication, written and verbal skills.
  • Limited travel requirement.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident.
  • Must be able to work assigned hybrid schedule in Tampa office.
