X-Ray Tech Aide Boston Bone & Joint Institute Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly Location: 71 Border Rd suite 300, Waltham, MA 02451 Travel: Dedham coverage as needed Position Summary Boston Bone & Joint Institute, a division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance, is seeking a dependable and patient-focused X-Ray Tech Aide to support our imaging department. Under the supervision of the Department Manager, the Tech Aide will assist with both clinical and administrative responsibilities to help ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, enjoys working directly with patients, and values teamwork and attention to detail. Responsibilities
  • Perform routine administrative duties and assist technologists with patient care
  • Enter and send x-ray orders for multiple locations
  • Escort and transport patients to and from imaging, waiting, and exam areas
  • Download prior imaging to discs or provide patients with access to imaging portals for medical records requests
  • Communicate effectively with x-ray technologists, providers, staff, and patients
  • Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain x-ray rooms, exam rooms, and patient dressing areas
  • Assist with imaging room equipment setup and basic troubleshooting
  • Support departmental operations and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changing patient needs while maintaining high standards of care
  • Ability to assist with patient transportation, including wheelchair transport
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous medical office or healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
