DENTAL HYGIENIST OPPORTUNITY IN CULPEPER, VIRGINIA

We are excited to announce an opening for a Dental Hygienist to become part of our dedicated team!

This position is for a Dental Hygienist at our expanding dental practice located in Culpeper, Virginia. In this role, you will support the dentist with various procedures and operate x-ray equipment. To excel in this position, a valid state hygiene license and prior experience as a dental hygienist are essential.

Compensation Package

Hourly rate: $72-$75

Key Responsibilities of the Dental Hygienist:
  • Utilizing dental tools to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth and below gum margins.
  • Reviewing and documenting patient medical histories.
  • Employing probes to assess and identify periodontal issues and signs of gum disease.
  • Documenting dental decay and diseases for the dentist's diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintaining dental instruments and x-ray machines.
  • Conducting visual and tactile examinations of gums for signs of disease, sores, and other oral health concerns.
  • Encouraging preventive dental care to enhance patient oral health.
  • Applying fluoride and other agents to prevent dental decay.
  • Collaborating with dentists and dental assistants.
  • Overseeing a dental hygiene program for patients.
Qualifications and Requirements for the Dental Hygienist
  • Associateโ€™s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Valid state hygiene license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Capability to administer local anesthetics.
  • Proficient in operating x-ray machines.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
