Job Description

Position: DevOps Specialist
Location: Everett, WA
Employment: Contract (3-6 months)

Description:

The ideal candidate will assist our Developer groups in making a cultural shift to DevOps. This position will work with various product development teams to introduce developer automation tools to bring teams closer to continuous integration. We are looking for someone with advanced knowledge in build automation and release pipeline management using Team Foundation Services. Must be onsite Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm PST).

Primary Responsibilities

TFS build administration across multiple product development teams and multiple environments

Provide automation from code check-in to production deployment

Evangelize DevOps culture to drive adoption of new processes

Seek to understand the various products and architecture and provide low-level unit test integration

Develop a specialized approach for each product utilizing various programming languages and tools

Provide direct support to developers and their managers as a service provider to help influence behaviors

Provide technical training for systems and processes

Required Skills and Experience

2 or more years of hands-on experience in a DevOps culture

Excellent team player, eager to learn from others and to share skills with colleagues

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to adapt quickly to learn and support new systems and applications

Able to manage projects directly, this includes interaction with internal customers

Resolve technical problems using a pragmatic approach

Required Software Skills

Development Tools: Visual Studio, MS Team Foundation Services, PowerShell

Programming Languages: C#, ASP.NET and JavaScript in combination

Client/Web Skills: XAML, XML, SOAP UI, JSON, API Testing
