X Ray Machine Operator Jobs in California (NOW HIRING)

The Machine Operator performs production and inspection activities in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures. This role focuses on operating X-ray equipment, identifying product defects, documenting inspection results, and supporting continuous improvement by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. The Machine Operator also contributes to team development by providing training to others when needed.

• Operate production machinery and X-ray equipment in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Perform manual X-ray inspections on products and generate X-ray programs as required.
• Capture and record images from X-ray inspections, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
• Identify product defects during inspection and complete all required defect documentation promptly and accurately.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
• Provide training and guidance to other team members on machine operation and X-ray inspection processes as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to housekeeping and safety guidelines at all times.
• Use basic computer systems to navigate, input, and retrieve production and inspection data.
• Perform work with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness, meeting production and quality targets.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management to support production and inspection operations.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of X-ray experience may be required.
• Hands-on experience with machine operation and general production work.
• Ability to perform inspection tasks, including identifying defects and documenting findings.
• Basic reading skills with the ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly in a fast-paced production environment.
• High attention to detail with strong self-motivation and initiative.
• Commitment to following established safety procedures and quality standards.

• Experience as a machine operator or in machine operating within a production or manufacturing setting.
• Background in general production or inspection work, including X-ray inspection.
• Specific technical or vocational training or certification related to machine operation, production, or inspection is a plus.
• Strong focus on quality and continuous improvement in daily tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
