Job Summary & Responsibilities:
We are seeking X-ray technologist supports physicians and registered nurses during procedures by assisting with patient positioning, operating C-arm equipment, and ensuring a safe, efficient procedural environment. This role functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and reports to the Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assist surgeons and RNs during procedures requiring C-arm imaging
Assemble and prepare necessary equipment and supplies for procedures
Assist with patient positioning and transport before, during, and after procedures
Maintain, clean, disinfect, and store C-arm and radiology equipment per policy and manufacturer guidelines
Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions promptly
Adhere to infection control policies and Universal Precautions
Participate in procedural time-outs and support physicians as needed
Perform clerical duties when required
Maintain patient confidentiality and respect patient privacy and dignity
Respond appropriately in emergency situations
Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, quality improvement, and risk management activities
Assist with orientation of new staff
Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technician program
Current New Jersey Radiology Technologist License required
BLS certification required
ARRT registration preferred
New graduates are encouraged to apply
Ability to work with adult, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and infant patients
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication)
Basic computer skills required
