The Assistant Chef is a distinguished culinary professional responsible for elevating and maintaining Wynn's highest standards of culinary excellence. This role encompasses comprehensive support to culinary leadership in all aspects of premium cost management, inventory oversight, and food requisitions, while assisting our Executive Chefs with directing and developing kitchen staff with exceptional expertise.
The Assistant Chef is a critical part of Wynn's culinary casual-dining team by ensuring seamless coordination across all culinary stations, maintaining the refined food quality standards that define Wynn's luxury casual dining experience, and upholds all regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and departmental excellence standards.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Wynn's Culinary Excellence & Operational Distinction includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Uphold and advance Wynn's distinguished culinary standards, ensuring every plate reflects on our commitment to gastronomic excellence.
  • Cultivate and refine consistency in food quality across all service periods to consistently exceed guest expectations and enhance the premium casual dining experience.

  • Current Food Manager Certification and valid Nevada health card; ability to demonstrate commitment to maintaining all required licensing and professional credentials
  • Proven expertise in kitchen operations management with exceptional knife skills techniques and mastery across all culinary stations
  • Demonstrates excellence in culinary artistry, including sophisticated plate presentation techniques and a refined approach to menu innovation and product research
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and core computer applications, with the ability to manage culinary systems and documentation with precision
  • Fluent English communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to articulate ideas with professional eloquence; multilingual capabilities are highly valued
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capability with a proven track record of directing, mentoring, and elevating culinary team performance
  • Exceptional ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment under high-pressure service environments while delivering consistently refined Wynn standards
