Job Summary
The Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and overall appearance of the resort. This position involves support in housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest areas and rooms are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and service. Housemen will work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. As an On-call houseman - you're flexibility is vital, responding to last minute requests to pick up a shift when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist housekeeping staff with the preparation and cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and pools, are consistently clean, well-maintained, and furnished.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities, towels, or assistance.
- Help in the transportation of linens, supplies, and equipment, ensuring proper inventory levels.
- Participate in deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance tasks as directed by management.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department immediately.
- Support the setup and breakdown of events or meetings as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas and back-of-house facilities.
- Uphold Wyndham's commitment to hospitality by providing courteous and efficient service.
