Job Purpose:
As a MES Engineer, you will lead project execution from concept to commissioning for a wide range of automation systems. You'll be hands-on in designing, programming, implementing, and optimizing control and MES systems-while mentoring junior engineers and guiding teams through complex automation challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrates knowledge and implementation of Business Intelligence systems; i.e. Wonderware System Platform, Inductive Automation, Dashboard programming, etc.
2. Database Development and Design.
3. SQL Query Optimization.
4. Data Modeling and Database Administration.
5. Troubleshooting and Debugging SQL Code and stored procedures.
6. Proficiency in SQL Programming.
7. Strong Knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMS)
8. Data Analysis and Reporting.
9. Demonstrates knowledge and implementation of design strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional networks.
10. Set standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security. Model, design, and construct large relational databases or data warehouses.
11. Identify changes in scope and notify Project Manager in a timely manner
12. Assist in the design of control systems (I/O and Motor lists, P&IDs, etc.)
13. Develop approaches to solve problems, handle customer demands, changes and complaints
14. Guide less experienced employees technically
15. Contribute a broad technical competence to the team, along with superior communication, correspondence, and mediation skills
16. Assist in managing project's resources, schedule, budget and scope
17. Provides input and resolves issues during the Estimating and Fabrication processes
18. Create Functional Requirements Specification documents with the corresponding FAT and SAT plans
19. Develop MES systems and procedures for customers to help meet their needs.
20. Design and develop database structures and systems to integrate into control and process systems.
21. This position will require about 50% travel, both domestic and international.
Education and Experience:
  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent in Automation experience plus ten years of experience
  • Multiple Major Automation Provider Certifications or Professional Engineer
