General Function
This position assists in planning, coordinating, and providing tutoring services to support instructional
programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Coordinates academic tutorials including individualized and group tutoring, tutor/mentor training, and
academic skills workshops.2.Attends trainings and provide training to other staff when necessary.3.Assists students on how to use technology to effectively utilize campus resources.4.Organizes and conducts workshops for students.5.Assists students in using computer-aided instruction and additional computer resources to help them develop basic skills in that particular subject area.6.Works as a team member with other staff members to support student's academic success.7.Participates in appropriate on-campus staff development opportunities.8.Maintains records of student tutoring sessions.
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Education or in the area of tutoring; Experience in teaching and tutoring in related subjects; Demonstrate ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to work flexible hours and to embrace change; ability to follow written and oral directions and to work with minimal supervision.
