Falzone’s Towing Service, Inc. is a respected leader in towing and hauling throughout the Northeast, recognized for its commitment to quality, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. Located in Wilkes Barre, PA, the company is seeking a dedicated Service Writer to join its Service Department. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on first and/or second shifts, supporting commercial truck and diesel engine customers by ensuring their vehicles receive prompt and accurate service. As a Service Writer, you will be a vital link between customers and technicians, helping to keep both the company fleet and client vehicles operating smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Assess commercial truck and diesel engine issues by listening to customer concerns, clarifying symptoms, and collaborating with mechanics during inspections.
  • Review vehicle maintenance records and service schedules to determine necessary repairs and services.
  • Develop accurate estimates for repairs by calculating materials, supplies, and labor costs.
  • Prepare detailed repair orders, documenting symptoms, problems, causes, and required repairs or services.
  • Obtain customer approval for recommended repairs and accurately enter information into the service database system.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding estimates, repair status, and expected completion times.
  • Work closely with mechanics and other team members to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a diesel or automotive environment preferred.
  • Experience in a heavy truck dealership or fleet setting is a strong asset.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
