Job description

We are seeking a Vehicle Condition Report Writer to join our team! You will work closely with the auction fleet lease department to image and report the condition of vehicles transported to the auction. This is a full time position at a growing company with great benefits. Apply Today!
​Responsibilities:

  • Drives different types of motor vehicles to identify damages and check all accessories, drive train, odometer and any excessive noises or leaks not disclosed by the seller
  • Use high tech tools to image and report damages to vehicles
  • Identify prior repairs to vehicles
    • Identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles at time of receipt (i.e. interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment, noting any damage or repair to frame, paint or other, engine noise, AC/heater operation, radio, tire condition, etc.)
  • Estimate and recommend repairs and reconditioning to make vehicles more marketable to buyers
  • Perform visual top check for fluid levels, sludge, flood damage and structural damage
  • Perform visual lower frame check for lower structural damage, leaks, missing equipment and excessive noise
  • Be part of a team to coordinate the prep and setting of the sale of vehicles

Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a body shop estimator, car dealership service writer, used car sales, or similar related fields
  • Valid AZ Driver's License (Required)
  • Must be capable of learning specialty software
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Writing Condition Reports: 2 years (Preferred)
