The Stine family, including 3 generations of Stine family members, together with hundreds of associates, work side by side together toward providing the nation's best home improvement shopping experience and premier preferred workplace of its kind. Our retail and contractor supply locations provide thousands of quality products for new construction, remodeling, and industrial projects. Stine helps customers associates, and families build their dreams!
Job Summary:
The Yard Associate interacts with the customer by greeting and assisting them in the yard area of our operation and once load is complete, thanking them for their business. This is a highly-visible position and is most important the individual is personable, friendly, and courteous at all times. Building material knowledge is preferred but not required. Heavy loading, stacking, cleaning and assisting with delivery of lumber and building materials is performed daily.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Basic education which includes ability to competently read and write.
  2. Training and Experience: No training or experience is required but must have writing and reading skills.
  3. Job Knowledge: Building material knowledge is preferred.
  4. Physical Demands: Work requires much physical effort; involves little sitting, standing, walking and some heavy lifting on a regular basis. Works in a non-air-conditioned environment. (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant heavy work and occasional extra heavy work.)
