Job description

Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes.Immediately hiring for 1st shift Machine Operators (Packers) for our envelope manufacturing facility inChicopee, MA

Pay/Schedule:

  • Pay starts at $16/hr
  • Shift: 7am - 3pm
  • Schedule: Mon -- Fri; Sat required during busy season/business needs.

Primary Responsibilities & Daily Duties:

  • Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed orweb envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
  • Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
  • Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
  • May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
  • Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
  • Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-

  • Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
  • Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
  • Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
