Job description

Senior Estimator — Commercial Waterproofing & Masonry

Providence, RI

$120,000 - $130,000

Trade Generic GC Bidding for Specialist Envelope Estimating

Most estimating desks price whatever comes through the door. This one scopes building envelope repairs, injection work, façade restoration, flashing, coatings, structural masonry.

Pricing does not happen from drawings alone. You visit the site, assess the condition, diagnose the fault, then build the scope.

Strong GC estimators are welcome here. If you have bid exterior packages and worked alongside waterproofing subs, the technical depth can be built.

The division is backed by a larger specialty contracting group with an expanding exterior services footprint.

Real depth in waterproofing moves the offer above the advertised band.

What You Get

  • Medical cover with no deductible
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Vacation, sick time and 10 paid company holidays
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability
  • Dental and vision cover
  • Pre-tax Flexible Spending Account and Employee Assistance Program
  • Field-based estimating, not a desk-only bid role
  • Compensation reviewed above the posted band for candidates with direct waterproofing depth

The Business

A commercial specialty contractor delivering waterproofing, masonry and restoration services across southern New England, operating within a larger specialty contracting group. The service division handles emergency repairs, routine maintenance and full restoration scopes on commercial building envelopes, covering injection work, joint sealants, façade restoration, flashing repairs, protective coatings and structural masonry.

Estimating runs on service and sales CRM platforms, with takeoff and markup handled in standard industry software. Estimators sit close to service managers, technicians and sales, so scopes are tested against what the crews can actually deliver. The business continues to extend its capabilities and regional reach across complementary exterior building services, with the estimating function central to how that service work is won.

Your Role

  • Own accurate estimates for commercial masonry and waterproofing service work — emergency, maintenance and restoration
  • Run field visits to assess existing conditions and diagnose envelope failures first-hand
  • Build technical scopes across injection, joint sealants, façade restoration, flashing, coatings and structural masonry
  • Write proposals that set out scope, pricing and recommended solution clearly enough for the client to sign
  • Manage pipeline and opportunity tracking through the service and sales CRM
  • Hold vendor and subcontractor relationships that keep your costings accurate

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years estimating commercial waterproofing and masonry, or strong GC estimating with exposure to exterior envelope packages
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications and safety protocols
  • Competent with takeoff and markup software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff or equivalent)
  • Authorised to work for any US employer without sponsorship

Apply

If you estimate exterior building work and want a technical seat with field ownership rather than a bid factory, apply today or reach out for a confidential conversation.
