Responsible for supervising and coordinating all Warranty Parts Center (WPC) warehouse and lab activities. Responsible for overall day-to-day warranty part center warehouse and lab operations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:35%
1.
Oversees daily operations of WPC warehouse and test lab, including scheduling and assigning of work, responding to work requests from Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, and handling of US-SA related testing issues.

Executes various test programs developed by the QA engineers, including vehicle performance evaluations, vehicle modifications, reliability tests, failure duplication tests, NVH tests, component validation or durability tests, or any other US-SA requested tests.

Trains all reporting WPC personnel on Isuzu policies and procedures. Verifies all applicable test methods and procedures are being followed with quality results.

Performs administrative duties such as policy enforcement, record keeping, purchase requests, and input for department budgeting.

Assists Field QA manager with prioritization and scheduling of required testing activities.

Responsible for management of timecard control for all reporting personnel.

Reviews and reports status of test schedules and results at departmental meetings.

Assists Field QA manager with human resources and employee performance issues.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: - Associate's degree in automotive related field or equivalent related experience
- ASE certification preferred
- Minimum five years of experience in automotive testing and development
- Previous supervisory/lead experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE: - Extensive knowledge of basic principles to fabricate, machine, and assemble automotive parts
- Extensive knowledge of machining, including use of lathes, mills, 3D printers, and welding equipment
- Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanics
- Extensive knowledge of instrumentation (e.g. strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure transducers, etc.)
- Knowledge of automotive scan tools - IDSS preferred
- Knowledge of INCA and LabVIEW instrumentation and data collection systems
- Knowledge of HAZMAT and OSHA requirements for shop environments
SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. Requires frequent lifting of approximately 25-60 lbs. and heavy lifting on rare occasions. Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, standing, and walking are necessary in the performance of job duties as well as working in hot/cold weather extremes. Exposure to dust, dirt, heat, cold, fumes, and noise. Must be available to participate in occasional travel/weekend work.
Pay ScaleThe pay scale for this position is between $87,448 and $111,496. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
