Description
Regional Director of Pickleball Programming & Experience Center Court Pickleball
Who We're Looking For
You don't just understand pickleball - you feel it. You know the energy of a packed court, the buzz of a tournament day, and the moment a first-time player gets hooked for life. You're a builder, a connector, and a leader who turns great ideas into unforgettable experiences. If you want to shape the future of the fastest-growing sport in America at one of the premier destinations in the country - this is your role.
Purpose - Lead the Vision
? Champion the pickleball experience from the ground up, setting the standard for what world-class play looks and feels like.
? Serve as the face and heartbeat of the pickleball community - inside the club and across the broader sport.
? Be the cultural compass, ensuring every program, event, and interaction reflects who we are and what we stand for.
? Own the full event lifecycle - from casual socials to competitive tournaments - and make every one count.
Product - Build What People Love
? Design and deliver industry-leading programs, leagues, clinics, and events that meet players where they are - from first-timers to competitive players.
? Hold a high bar for facilities, equipment, and presentation. If it's on our courts, it reflects our brand.
? Turn member feedback into action. Use data and insight to continuously sharpen the experience.
? Drive participation through smart, strategic marketing that gets people on the court and coming back.
Process - Execute with Precision
? Develop short- and long-term programming strategies that grow the business and delight the community.
? Master the schedule - balancing member needs, court capacity, and programming goals without missing a beat.
? Use technology and reporting tools to stay ahead of trends, track performance, and make sharp decisions.
? Evaluate constantly. What's working, what isn't, and what does our community want next?
Performance - Raise the Bar
? Create a pickleball experience so good that members brag about it to their friends.
? Drive membership growth and retention through programming that keeps people coming back - and brings new players in.
? Own your KPIs: participation rates, member retention, revenue growth, and satisfaction scores.
? Balance innovation with sustainability. Great ideas are only great if they're financially sound.
People - Develop the Team
? Recruit, coach, and develop a team of passionate pickleball professionals who take pride in what they do.
? Foster a culture where people feel respected, empowered, and held to a high standard.
? Build genuine relationships with members, sponsors, and community partners that extend beyond the court.
? Lead by example. Mentor your staff to deliver the kind of service that turns customers into loyal fans.
This role exists to inspire lifelong love of pickleball. Through bold programming, exceptional service, and authentic community leadership, you won't just manage a program - you'll help define a movement.
Requirements
What You Bring
? Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business, or a related field.
? 2-4 years of experience in sports program management - pickleball or recreational sports preferred.
? Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. You get things done and bring people along.
? A track record of designing and executing successful programs and events.
? A genuine passion for pickleball and a deep commitment to building community around the sport.
? Financial fluency - you can manage budgets, read the numbers, and make smart calls.
? Physical presence and energy to engage with members and staff across the facility.
? An unrelenting drive to be excellent. Not good - excellent.
