Job description

Seeking hardworking, organized and self-motivated individuals to join our canine coach team. We have full and part time positions available from entry level to those requiring more dog experience. Beginning salary starts at $10.00/hour with rapid advancement option to $12.00/hour, if qualified. Opportunities for growth for those who want to a career working with dogs. Option to bring personal dog to join playgroups when all criteria is met.

Current business need is for individuals with open availability to work all shifts, including weekends, and willingness to work throughout the year without restrictions.

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Pet lover! Able to interact in a positive way with all sizes, types and breeds of dogs
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • A positive attitude and demeanor at all times

Canine Coach responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Maintaining and facilitating safe and fun play for dogs in off-leash play groups
  • Staying continuously on your feet and moving to show the dogs attention and care
  • Must maintain consistent time and attendance standards plus dress code at all times
  • Giving dogs baths and nail trims as part of daily assignments
  • Ability to work in a team and effectively communicate both orally and written
  • Previous professional experience working with dogs not necessary but a plus
  • Ability to take on heavy cleaning on a daily basis (lots of dogs means lots of cleaning)

Additional information

  • Pay will depend on experience - from personal ownership of dogs only to previous professional experience working with dogs.
