Job Summary
We are seeking an Animal Care Giver to join our team! As an Animal Care Giver, you will spend your days tending to the animals under our care, including following guidelines for feeding, refilling water bowls, and offering treats and companionship. You will also be responsible for ensuring the environment is clean and safe for all the animals as well as walking or socializing animals as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with all types of animals, can work on their feet for long periods of time, and can work well in a team environment. 
Responsibilities 
  • Clean and maintain pet enclosures and surrounding areas, so that every animal under your care has a safe, healthy living environment
  • Monitor health and well-being of animals
  • Interact with the animals, providing a positive human experience
  • Maintain proper records of all animals and care given throughout your shift
  • Assist with bathing as needed
Qualifications
  • Must be comfortable working with animals of all sizes and types
  • Must be comfortable working on your feet for long periods of time
  • Strong Communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and follow established protocols for animal care
  • Have a passion for animals
  • Prefer applicants with prior animal experience and or veterinary experience
  • Must be able to work on your feet for your shift except for breaks
