Job Title: Global Service Specialist - DO/EIMCO, Flotation, PCV, DSG
Position Summary
FLS is seeking a highly skilled and professional Global Service Specialist to support the erection, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operational startup of commercial and industrial separation equipment. This role focuses primarily on mechanical work and Installation & Commissioning (I&C) activities for thickeners and flotation cells, with additional responsibility for equipment such as clarifiers, cyclones, pumps, reactors, and agitated tanks.
The Global Service Specialist serves as FLS's primary onsite representative and is responsible for delivering high-quality technical service, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring safe and efficient project execution. This position requires extensive international travel and the ability to work independently under demanding conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute onsite erection, installation, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical systems and I&C activities for thickeners, flotation cells, and related separation equipment.
  • Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning processes to ensure equipment meets design, safety, and performance requirements.
  • Support operational startup, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment performance.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, calibration, and verification of mechanical and control-related systems.
  • Coordinate onsite project activities, schedules, and resources to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare accurate and professional documentation, including installation records, commissioning reports, and service summaries.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for customers, providing training, guidance, and technical support.
  • Represent FLS with professionalism and integrity in all customer interactions.

Qualifications
Required
  • Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience in Installation & Commissioning (I&C) of industrial process equipment.
  • Experience with thickeners, flotation cells, clarifiers, cyclones, pumps, reactors, or similar industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality technical reports.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 70% of the time.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to represent the company effectively onsite.

Preferred
  • Experience in commissioning or startup of industrial process systems.
  • Background in mining, minerals processing, water treatment, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Multilingual capabilities or experience working in multicultural settings.
  • Ability to meet all medical and physical fitness requirements necessary to obtain work authorization for high-altitude job sites.
