Job description

Service Manager - Appliance Repair

Mr. Appliance of Central NJ

$80,000-$90,000 base salary + performance bonuses (most of our managers earn $100K-$120K+)

No nights No weekends Company vehicle Full benefits

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on leader who loves the appliance trade and genuinely enjoys developing other technicians.

This is a true player-coach role: you'll spend part of your time in the field solving the toughest calls and most of your time building a sharp, confident team that consistently delivers 5-star service.

What the job looks like day-to-day

  • Training and mentoring a team of appliance technicians (in-truck ride-alongs, classroom sessions, and ongoing skill development)
  • Acting as the final-level technical resource when a diagnosis gets tricky
  • Leading the team to meet (and usually exceed) weekly and monthly revenue and customer-satisfaction goals
  • Managing parts inventory, truck maintenance, and daily scheduling
  • Being the calm, professional face of the company for customers and office staff alike

The schedule and lifestyle you've been waiting for

  • Monday-Friday only - home every evening and every weekend, guaranteed
  • Company-provided take-home service vehicle and iPad
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days
  • Paid time off and paid training
  • Regular team events and a genuinely positive, supportive culture

What you bring

  • At least 5 years of hands-on field experience in appliance repair or a closely related trade (HVAC/R, commercial refrigeration, commercial cooking equipment, etc.)
  • Broad working knowledge of today's major appliance brands and models
  • Proven diagnostic and repair skills on refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and cooktops
  • A real passion for teaching and developing technicians
  • Strong customer communication skills and pride in delivering outstanding service
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

If you're the technician other techs turn to for advice, and you're ready to trade weekend service calls for family time while still earning more than ever, we'd love to talk.

Apply today - we move quickly when we find the right person.

Mr. Appliance - Great pay, real work-life balance, and a team that feels like family.
