Job description

Your Office is the Great Outdoors

Are you tired of staring at four white walls and fluorescent lights? At Horseshoe Bay Sporting Club, your morning coffee comes with a side of Texas Hill Country views and a breath of fresh air. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to helm a breathtaking member club at the edge of Hill Country.

We don’t just offer a job; we offer a lifestyle. We are a tight-knit community of outdoor enthusiasts and hospitality professionals who believe that work should be as rewarding as it is productive. Our company is in hyper growth and we are eager to find great people who wish to grow quickly. When you join our team, you’re joining a group of "good people" who truly have each other's backs. Beyond the incredible environment, we take care of our own with competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and a 401(k) match to help you secure your future while you enjoy the present.

The Role: Assistant General Manager

Location: Horseshoe Bay, TX (100% On-site)

Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 per year

As the Assistant General Manager (AGM), you are the heartbeat of the club. This isn’t a "sit behind a desk all day" kind of role—you are the right hand to our General Manager and a vital pillar in the success of our operations. You are the "glue" that keeps the ranch running smoothly, ensuring our members have a world-class experience every time they step onto the property.

What You’ll Do

This role is dynamic and multifaceted. One hour you might be coordinating a high-end event, and the next you might be solving a  scheduling puzzle. Your responsibilities include:

  • Executive Support: Act as the primary partner to the GM, handling high-level administrative tasks and ensuring daily operations align with the club’s vision.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the charge on staff scheduling and resource management to keep the club humming.
  • Event Planning & Coordination: From concept to "boots on the ground" execution, you’ll help manage memorable member events and ranch activities.
  • Ranch Communication: Serve as the central hub for communication between staff, management, and ownership.
  • Member Success & De-escalation: You are the face of the club for our members. You’ll celebrate their wins and use your cool-headed expertise to de-escalate conflicts and solve problems with grace.

Who You Are

  • A Natural Leader: You have a "servant-leader" mentality and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • A Master Multi-tasker: You thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
  • A People Person: You possess high emotional intelligence and can navigate difficult conversations while maintaining a "customer-first" attitude.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: You can manage the logistics of a working ranch and sporting club without breaking a sweat.
  • Local Enthusiast: You are ready to work on-site in beautiful Horseshoe Bay and become an active part of our community.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Total Compensation: $60k–$70k (based on experience).
  • Financial Security: 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive benefits package.
  • The Vibe: Work at one of the most beautiful locations in Texas with a team that feels like family.

Ready to trade the cubicle for the club? If you are a high-energy professional who loves the outdoors and thrives in a leadership role, we want to meet you.
