Job description

Newton Crouch Company, LLC is looking for skilled welders and fabricators to join the NCC team in Griffin, Georgia. Must be able to join metals with precision from technical drawings and verbal instruction. The ideal candidate can work solo or as a team.


Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of all types of welding processes.
  • Experience welding Stainless and Mild Steel is required.
  • Capable of working with sheet metal, tubing or channel.
  • Knowledge of working with welding tools and equipment.
  • Skilled in operating power and hand tools.
  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
  • Read prints and technical drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
  • Inspect manufactured material has required parts and meet quality control standards.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
    • Experienced MIG Welder; experience welding in both Stainless and Mild Steel is required.
    • Fabricating Experience - able to read drawings, assemble to print, and weld together
    • Forklift experience required
    • Ability to communicate job related issues with supervisor, team leaders and other employees.
    • Basic math skills: Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to use simple mathematical devices, such as, calculators, measuring tapes, etc.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
