Job description

Family Service Advisor
Sales Career — At-Need, Pre-Need Cemetery amp; Funeral, Cremation Society
Spring Grove Cemetery amp; Arboretum, a National Historic Landmark and one of the country's most respected cemetery and funeral organizations, is hiring a Family Service Advisor to join our sales team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a relationship-driven sales role: you'll help families plan ahead with pre-need cemetery and funeral arrangements, and support families with immediate at-need and Cremation Society needs during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Why This Role
  • Meaningful work — you're helping families make lasting decisions with care and professionalism
  • Full sales cycle across three revenue streams: at-need, pre-need cemetery, and pre-need funeral (including Cremation Society)
  • Paid training: base salary for up to 180 days while you complete licensing and onboarding
  • Uncapped earning potential after training: draw plus commission plus bonus, with ongoing sales incentive awards
  • Comprehensive benefits and company-matching 401(k)
  • Backed by an established, trusted local brand founded in 1845
What You'll Do
  • Prospect, present, and close sales for pre-need cemetery property and funeral planning
  • Meet with at-need families with sensitivity, professionalism, and urgency
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with client families, vendors, and community partners
  • Manage your own pipeline [aftercare, Dynamics CRM, company-provided referrals through special events, self-generated prospecting, etc.]
  • Handle confidential correspondence, including compiling, editing, and re-writing letters
  • Deliver outstanding presentations and follow through from first conversation to close
  • Work scheduled Duty days, which includes weekend coverage on a rotational basis
What We're Looking For
  • A relationship-driven professional who builds trust easily and follows through until a family’s plan is complete
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to learn new computer programs and platforms quickly
  • Must successfully obtain an Ohio insurance license during the initial onboarding and training period as a condition of employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior sales experience a plus
Licensing
All Family Service Advisors must obtain an Ohio insurance license within 30 days of employment; Spring Grove supports you through that process.
Schedule
Business operates Monday through Sunday, and this role includes scheduled Duty days that includes weekend coverage on a rotational basis. Specific rotation details will be discussed during the interview process.
