Job description

Exciting opportunity at a small, growing engineering consulting firm. We work on a huge variety of civil and environmental projects of all sizes in Miami and throughout Florida. If you’re looking to contribute in a big way to help grow a small company, then you may be a good fit.

Immediately, we’re are looking for a civil engineer/designer with some experience (1 to 5+ years) working on the following types of civil engineering projects:

  • Landfill Design
  • Dewatering for construction activities
  • Paving, grading and drainage (PGD)
  • Water & sewer utilities

Job duties will primarily consist of:

  • Preparing civil engineering plans using AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Preparing stormwater management reports and drainage calculations
  • Preparing sanitary sewer pump station calculations
  • Coordinating with the Client, project design team (architect, other engineering disciplines, landscape architect, etc.), and permitting agencies
  • Submitting and processing civil engineering related permits
  • Inspecting construction for compliance with civil engineering plans and specifications
  • Assisting preparing proposals
  • Assisting with environmental engineering projects
  • Assisting with business administration

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 year minimum experience with AutoCAD
  • BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Florida drivers license with good driving record and reliable vehicle

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years experience in related civil engineering
  • Florida Engineering Intern (E.I.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification
  • Civil 3D experience
