Job description


SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Analyst to join our team in the location of Middletown, RI . In this role you will play a crucial role in developing and tracking configuration documentation, data, and software for our technical products, services, and processes. As well as, ensuring configuration items (CIs) are properly stored and controlled throughout their lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to gather information, ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation, and timely delivery to the government customer.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize configuration management tools and systems to track and control configuration items throughout the development lifecycle. (Familiarity with SharePoint platform is a plus).
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of the status and history of configuration items. Including tracking changes, updates, releases, and ensuring that the internal configuration management database is up to date.
  • Assist in monitoring and auditing configuration changes to ensure compliance with established processes and procedures.
  • Provide support to development teams on configuration management-related tasks and inquiries.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of configuration management practices.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years experience working directly as a CM of a Team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation.
  • Understanding of configuration management principles and concepts including understanding of creating and maintaining bills of material (BOMs) and/or baselines (BLs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Clearance:
  • Must have the ability to obtain SECRET clearance; active SECRET or above preferred.
