Capital Precast is looking for a safety-focused, experienced Boom Truck Driver to join our growing team. If you have a Class A CDL, an active NCCCO Crane Operator Certification, and experience operating boom trucks in construction or heavy materials environments, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll safely transport and deliver precast concrete products to customer jobsites while operating a boom truck and onboard crane. You'll work alongside a team that values safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do
  • Safely operate a Class A CDL boom truck and onboard crane.

  • Deliver precast concrete products to plant facilities and customer jobsites.

  • Load, unload, lift, and place materials using safe crane operating procedures.

  • Perform pre-trip inspections, daily crane inspections, and complete DOT documentation.

  • Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations.

  • Conduct lift planning, verify load weights, inspect rigging, and assess jobsite conditions before lifting.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant personnel, customers, riggers, and spotters.

  • Follow all OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, NCCCO, and company safety requirements.

  • Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.

  • Assist with yard operations when deliveries are complete.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.

  • Active NCCCO Crane Operator Certification (appropriate designation for boom truck/articulating or lattice boom, as applicable). This certification is required for this position.

  • Current DOT Medical Card.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating boom trucks and cranes in construction, manufacturing, or heavy materials environments.

  • Strong understanding of crane load charts, rigging practices, and lift planning.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience transporting and handling precast concrete products or oversized/heavy loads.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.

  • Forklift or other heavy equipment certifications.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Environment

This position requires working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other environmental conditions. Employees regularly work around moving equipment, heavy machinery, confined spaces, elevated work areas, and noisy environments.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 10–50 pounds.

  • Walk, squat, kneel, bend, crouch, climb, and reach overhead.

  • Climb on and off trucks and equipment safely.

  • Sit, stand, and operate equipment for extended periods.
