Corrocoat USA specializes in manufacture and application of corrosion resistant specialty industrial coatings, linings and composites. Approximately 90% of the work occurs on heavy industrial plant sites, 10% of work in a shop atmosphere. We’re expanding our fiberglass repair and installation capabilities and seek an experienced Working Foreman to lead projects and hands-on work.
Role Overview As a Working Foreman, you will lead small crews on fiberglass installation, repair, and composite projects while actively participating in the work. You’ll ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient execution on industrial and marine assets (e.g., tanks, pipes, pumps, structures, vessels). This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor installation/repair crews on-site and in-shop.
  • Perform and oversee fiberglass lay-up, laminating, grinding, fairing, bonding, and composite repairs using resins, glass flake, and related materials.
  • Prepare surfaces (blasting, sanding, etc.), apply protective coatings/composites, and ensure compliance with project specs and quality standards.
  • Manage project timelines, safety protocols, and crew productivity.
  • Troubleshoot issues, maintain tools/equipment, and coordinate with clients/project managers.
  • Conduct inspections and contribute to continuous improvement in processes.
  • Travel to project sites as needed (local/regional focus).
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in fiberglass/composites installation and repair, preferably in marine or heavy industrial settings.
  • Proven leadership/foreman experience (leading small teams).
  • Strong knowledge of resins, gelcoats, fiberglass matting, safety practices (OSHA, confined space, etc.), and quality control.
  • Ability to read blueprints/specs and work in physically demanding conditions (heights, confined spaces, outdoors).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AMPP/NACE, composites, or safety) a plus.
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay ($30+/hour, based on experience) + OT eligibility.
  • Comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO).
  • Opportunities for growth in a specialized, expanding company.
  • Stable work with variety in challenging, high-value projects.
If you’re a skilled fiberglass professional ready to lead and deliver exceptional results, apply with your resume and references. Corrocoat USA is an equal opportunity employer.
Projects include tank linings, pipe linings, concrete refurbishment, fiberglass repair, abrasive blasting, maintenance painting and specialty coatings application.
All of our team members are required to have a good attitude, willingness to listen and learn, and desire to produce work of the highest quality.
Pay scale is $23.00 per hour - $28.00 per hour, dependent upon experience in the industrial services field and how much value you offer once on the team. We reward great work and we will adjust your compensation package based on the relative contribution you add to the team.
The tasks required to fulfill this job include but are not limited to the following: lifting greater than 50 lbs; walking and climbing stairs in work boots up to 14 hours per day, up to 70 hours week; working in confined spaces; lawful and safe driving of company vehicles; safe use of a respirator; working at heights greater than 4 stories; working with a variety of paints and solvents; maintaining composure under stressful situations; working well with others; reading, written communications, oral communications.
After 120 days of service, Corrocoat offers excellent benefits including 14 days PTO, 8 paid holidays, 50/50 match on company sponsored insurance. Benefits also include a company contribution retirement plan offered after 1 years’ service.
