The Live Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution, analysis, and optimization of live features, events, and commercial promotions that engage and retain players. Bridging the gap between execution and strategy, the specialist takes a proactive role in monitoring game health, configuring live events, and collaborating across disciplines to implement mid-level monetization and operational plans.
 
We prioritize applicants that can work on-site at our Downtown Vancouver studio for this contract opportunity.
In this role, you can expect to:
Offer and Event Planning:
  • Build and execute offers, events, and promotion plans to help achieve monthly goals and target metrics for the studio team.
  • Monitor live product health and track revenue performance, surfacing insights to senior specialists and managers.
  • Work as a key part of the live ops/econ team to come up with pricing strategies for offers and services that optimally drive user spend.
  • Make suggestions and plans to improve in-game content and pricing, supported by market research and quantitative/qualitative data.
Data & Insights: 
  • Analyze player behaviour and event performance using internal metrics and business intelligence tools (e.g Tableau).
  • Develop intermediate data-driven insights to recommend optimization plans for in-game events and offer conversion. 
Cross-Discipline Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with Product, Economics, Marketing, Community, and Player Retention (Px) to ensure timely communication and accurate execution of live operations calendars.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to refine system configurations and troubleshoot live issues or tool constraints.
Design: 
  • Support design of new monetization systems and features aligned with product pillars and goals.
  • Support in the designing, building, and optimization of offers and promotions to help achieve monthly goals and target product metrics, focusing on conversion and revenue-related KPIs.
To be successful in this role, your background includes:
  • Post-Secondary education in related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in game design, live operations or related field.
  • Basic understanding of SPARX; familiar with key tools (gacha, gamestore, events, etc.) and capable of executing upon those events from scratch.
  • Familiar with the Live Ops workflow at Kabam and integrations with others disciplines.
  • Familiar with top grossing F2P games and F2P LO design & system trends.
  • Introductory knowledge of data use within our game (ie. can read common dashboards on tableau; can develop basic insights on how events and offers impact the game).
  • Able to request and implement localization (LOC).
$38 - $48 an hour
The typical hiring range listed above is specific to candidates located in Vancouver. Compensation will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies.
