The Workforce Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting data collection, tracking, analysis, and building simulations. Supporting planning tools, creating detailed reports, creating models which are used to create staffing forecasts and recommendations.  The Analyst also works on various projects, implementations, and dashboard development to promote efficiencies for the Airports North America branch.

This position may be located in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal.

Responsibilities:

  • Data sourcing, data housing/organization, interpreting and analyzation, summarizing and reporting.
  • Support existing tool infrastructure and future development
  • Develop and implement new tools and processes, dashboards, scorecards
  • Preparing presentations in support of monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic initiatives of the organization
  • Write and validate rule parameters to ensure compliance with current engagement standards and quickly adapting to changes within the business
  • Calibrate staffing utilization and productivity reports and metrics
  • Create analysis of flight schedules, determine optimal yearly periods for all resource reassessments
  • Collect time and motion data within the Airports operations as required to ensure the most accurate data is being used in the planning models
  • Support projects and recommendations with quantitative and qualitative information
  • With the Workforce Planning team and Airports leadership, assist with dashboard development and goal setting using data analysis, such as overtime/undertime metrics
  • Provide solution support, managerial reporting, budgeting and financial evaluation/analysis, process development, and detailed accounting.
  • Provide guidance to resource and operational teams using statistical analysis.
  • Carry out trend analysis and make appropriate recommendations
  • Collaborate with various partners such as Talent Acquisition, Network Planning, and Finance
  • Develop and create ad-hoc reports
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education an asset
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of analytical experience in a related field
  • Advanced proficiency with all Microsoft Office 365 tools, prominently Excel
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI and Microsoft Teams/Webex/Zoom online collaborative software
  • Experience in Workforce Planning solutions software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team leadership and development skills
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Airport experience and operation along with an understanding of the interdependencies of all operating and support systems
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, deadline driven team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong business foundations
