Job description

The Ford Agency is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Director for a stable and successful national association based in downtown DC. This role manages all benefits and compensation administration, including biweekly payroll and open enrollment and offers a clear professional growth path. If you have strong ADP Workforce Now experience and are comfortable working independently as the sole HR presence in a small office, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Responsibilities Include:
  • Administer and manage all employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and flexible spending accounts
  • Process biweekly payroll and manage retirement benefits using ADP Workforce Now
  • Lead annual open enrollment and communicate benefits changes to staff
  • Prepare annual employee compensation and benefit analysis reports, as well as the annual and midyear HR and benefits budget reforecast
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and local leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and the Sick Leave Act
  • Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR policies and procedures
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of human resources experience, including benefits and payroll administration
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now required
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a solo HR function
Compensation:
  • $115,000 to $135,000 annually, DOE

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
