This opportunity is intended for conversion to a full-time role that will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future (full-time conversion pending performance evaluation post internship and available headcount). Interested candidates must be currently eligible to work in the US AND must not require work authorization sponsorship in the future. Join HP's Personal Systems organization to explore new product opportunities in agentic AI. You will research customer and market needs, identify opportunities for differentiation, and recommend a focused minimum viable product (MVP) for review by the portfolio and insights team.
Responsibilities
  • Research market trends, customer needs, competitors, and emerging agentic AI technologies.
  • Identify and evaluate potential AI product opportunities.
  • Define the target user, value proposition, competitive differentiation, and key use cases.
  • Develop a scoped MVP recommendation and supporting business rationale.
  • Analyze market, financial, and product data to inform recommendations.
  • Create data visualizations and executive-ready presentations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to portfolio and insights stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, finance, engineering, and analytics teams.
Education
Currently pursuing an MBA or relevant master's degree in:
  • Business Administration
  • Finance
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • Data Science or Statistics
  • A related field
Required Skills
  • Strong market research and analytical abilities.
  • Understanding of product management principles and product development.
  • Ability to translate research into a clear product strategy and MVP scope.
  • Experience analyzing business, financial, or market data.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or agentic AI.
  • Experience with AI research tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data-visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Interest in technology product management and commercial computing.
