HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Margate, Florida.

ยท         Number of Beds: 18 bed  Level 2-3 Unit located on same floor as Post-Partum Unit

ยท         Number of Staff: Director, Charge RN, 5-6 NICU RNโ€™s, Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

ยท         Type of Staff:  Subspecialists for newborns, Lactation consultants, Neonatologists, Respiratory Therapist

o    Day Shift: Director, 5-7 RNโ€™s, clinical coordinators, RT, consultants, NP

o    Night Shift: Charge RN, 5-7 RNโ€™s, RT, varies by volume

ยท         Patient Ratios โ€“1:1, 2:1, 3:1 feeder/growers

ยท         Type of Equipment: Heart Monitor, oximeter, CT Scan, MRI, Endotracheal Tub, Ventilator, CPAP, Nitric, Jet vent, IV Drips, Central Lines

ยท         Documentation System: Meditech

Call Requirements: No Mandatory Call.  
First to float to Postpartum to take Babies only or to Help out in Transition not be the only RN.

Typical Hiring Profile

 

Must have: (includes certifications and special skills, ex: ACLS, BLS, NIH)

ยท          ALL candidates MUST have Level 111 NICU Experience

ยท         BLS, NRP, STABLE

List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):  

ยท         Level 111 NICU is 24 hour Unit for babies born at less than 32 weeks gestation as well as babies born with critical illness and all gestational ages, full range of pediatric medical subspecialties

ยท         Exp with Jet vents, Oscillator vents, Nitric, central lines, ELBW babies, IV drips, PIVโ€™s 

Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast-paced unit, can function well independently)

ยท         NCC, RNC-LRN, C-NPT

ยท         C-EFM, C-NPT

ยท         Critical thinker, emotional empathy and stability, excellent communication skills

ยท         Nonjudgmental, ability to multi-task, used to being around traumatized family members
