Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. The RN embraces the core values of the company, prioritizing patient and employee safety while delivering superior quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on education and positive outcomes.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
  • Communicate essential information regarding patient status to care providers for continuity and safety.
  • Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while ensuring personal and environmental safety.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by providing calm direction and reassurance.
  • Coordinate with management regarding service needs, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assume charge responsibilities as needed.
  • Actively pursue professional growth and education.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
  • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
  • PCU or Step-Down experience required.
  • Experience with vents and critical drips is required.
