SERVICE MANAGER
The Packard Culligan Water Billings, MT dealership, is looking for an exceptional Service Manager with great Technical and People skills!
Our next Service Manager will lead by example in a hands-on environment to strengthen a motivated and competent workforce, ensure customer satisfaction and retention and assist in achieving company goals. The Service Manager leads our Service team personnel and associated residential, commercial and industrial service functions to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. You will have the opportunity to develop and lead motivated Service Technicians through coaching and training of technical skills and customer service.
This is a hands-on management position. The Service Manager will provide leadership through effective communication, process improvement, coaching/training, and mentoring in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position reports to the General Manager. Previous experience in Trades management is a plus!
What is the Service Manager responsible for?
  • Resolving service-related problems, approving billing adjustments as necessary
  • Maintaining adequate inventory to meet customer need
  • Assessing equipment to maintain quality, assisting in modification when needed
  • Ensure adequate after-hour response to customer emergencies
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing level, workload distribution, and employee skills necessary to best serve customers and meet business needs
  • Upholding a safe, clean work environment that is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and company regulations
  • Providing sufficient training to ensure employees have the skills and information necessary to exceed customers' expectations
  • Developing realistic employee performance objectives tied to the dealership's goals in order to support employee development and empowerment
  • Maintaining the company's assets (plant, fleet, equipment, and other inventory)
  • Achieving planned gross margin and revenue targets
  • Participating in the preparation of annual budget/plans, regularly review actual performance vs. plan, analyze variances, and take action necessary to achieve goals
  • Keep their knowledge and skills current as well as that of service personnel.
